Job Description

• - Build and update WordPress websites.
• - Customize and extend themes/plugins as required by each project.
• - Publish content: create/edit Pages & Posts, set categories/tags, featured image, slug/excerpt; update Menus (Main/Footer/Sitemap HTML).
• - Work comfortably with Gutenberg (block editor) and the Classic/legacy editor; build custom Gutenberg blocks for project needs.
• - Develop and customize themes, child themes, and Full Site Editing (FSE) templates using the Site Editor, block patterns, and theme.json configuration.
• - WP Engine & Plesk: staging, backup/restore, publish/go-live; coordinate DNS/A-record handoff when needed.
• - Sitemap & indexing: update the HTML “Sitemap” menu and request indexing in Google Search Console after new/updated pages..
• -  Apply on-page SEO best practices (title/meta, alt text, internal links, clean headings, OG/Twitter tags).
• - Integrate APIs/third-party services and handle form submissions securely (e.g., Gravity Forms)
• - Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing WordPress sites 
• - Build and edit website pages within the HubSpot CMS, including modules, templates, and landing pages

Requirements

• - 2+ years working with WordPress (site builds and publishing).
• - Solid HTML/CSS/JS; PHP for theme/template tweaks; proficiency with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and practical familiarity with React basics (JSX, components, hooks, state) as applied to WordPress block development.
• - WordPress admin skills: Pages/Posts, Menus, Media, Users, Permalinks.
• - Confident with Gutenberg and Classic/legacy editor; able to build custom blocks using @wordpress/scripts and block.json.
• - Experience building landing pages end-to-end (forms, validation, Thank-You page, basic tracking readiness).
• - Familiar with WP Engine (staging, backup/restore, go-live).
• - Comfortable with GSC Request Indexing, Yoast, Redirection, and on-page SEO hygiene.
• - Experience with theme development, child-theme development, and Full Site Editing (FSE) using Site Editor, block patterns, and theme.json.
• - Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) for custom field groups, flexible content, and block registration.
• - Coding standards and testing: adherence to WordPress PHP and JavaScript coding standards; basic familiarity with PHPUnit and/or Jest; use of linting tools (PHPCS, ESLint, Stylelint).
• - CSS coding standards: BEM methodology, responsive design, cross-browser consistency, and adherence to WP CSS guidelines.
• - Familiarity with HubSpot CMS: building and editing pages, working with modules and templates, and understanding HubL basics.
• - Build tools: npm, babel, webpack, grunt, gulp.
• - Performance/security basics: WP Rocket, Wordfence, image optimization (WebP/ShortPixel).
• - Git/Bitbucket workflow (clone/branch/commit/push, PR), SSH/HTTPS auth. GA4/GTM/robots.txt; BrowserStack checks; GMB…
• - Able to communicate in English (B1+) for reading docs and writing short updates; detail-oriented and reliable.
